Travellers arriving and departing from the Kelowna airport can now take an Uber.
The partnership between the airport and the rideshare company was announced today, July 23, in a City of Kelowna media release.
Passengers will be able to find Uber rides from the north end of the Kelowna airport terminal. They can follow airport signage to find the route to the rideshare zone.
“We’re thrilled how Kelowna residents and visitors have embraced Uber for safe, affordable and reliable ride options since our launch last June. And now we’re excited to extend this to airport trips,” Michael van Hemmen with Uber said in the release.
Uber rides are able to be booked 90 days in advance of travel to and from the airport allowing early planning, flexibility and stability in travelling.
“We are excited to have Uber available at YLW to provide an additional transportation option for passengers at the airport. By offering more transportation choices, we aim to provide passengers with the flexibility and control they need to plan their travel to and from the terminal,” airport CEO Sam Samaddar said in the release.
