Artists interested in UBC Okanagan’s Visual Arts program are invited to attend Portfolio Day at the campus this Saturday.
Portfolio Day is an opportunity for prospective applicants to the Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) program and dedicated artists in the community to receive advice about how to compile a portfolio and perhaps obtain pre-approval for the portfolio requirement that would be a part of their application to UBC Okanagan’s program.
Participants will also have a chance to talk with faculty and staff, meet and talk with current students and professors about program choices, explore the campus and learn more about the application process.
Those interested should bring no more than 8 to 10 artworks or images, and (or) up to three short videos that illustrate their best work while showing a range of explored media. Original artwork—including finished pieces, work in progress, and sketchbooks—is preferred. Prospective students can also present a digital portfolio on a laptop.
