Two suspects on the run after pepper-spray assault on North Shore

KAMLOOPS - Police in Kamloops are searching for two women who are accused of pepper-spraying people who were sleeping in a vehicle on the North Shore.

Crews responded to the Esso gas station on Tranquille Road just after 9:30 this morning, Sept. 6.

Kamloops RCMP Cpl. Matt Rattee says the assault happened somewhere on Leigh Road. Two people who were sleeping in a vehicle were apparently pepper-sprayed by who police believe are two women.

The victims ran to the Esso gas station and asked attendants for help.

The pair has been taken to hospital and police are hoping to have descriptions of the suspects after the victims are treated.
