KAMLOOPS - Two men are dead after the vehicle they were in left the roadway and rolled down a steep embankment near Spences Bridge last week.

The B.C. Coroners Service says Morris Nicholas Wilson Sr., 47, and his son Morris Nicholas Wilson Jr., 24, were in a Jeep Grand Cherokee heading eastbound on Drinkwater Road around 11 p.m. on Aug. 13 when the vehicle rolled down a steep embankment about seven kilometres northeast of Spences Bridge.

Wilson Sr., of Spences Bridge, was driving while his son, of Kamloops, was in the front passenger seat.

Nicola Valley and Kamloops search and rescue crews were called out to retrieve the bodies because of the steep incline.

RCMP and the coroners service continue to investigate.
