Two men may soon face charges after Kelowna home invasion

Two Kelowna men could be charged following a home invasion that occurred in the city last week.

Kelowna RCMP officers responded Jan. 9, to a report of a home invasion at a residence in the 600 block of Webster Road, according to the RCMP in a press release.

A 50-year old Kelowna man, Clayton Zeleniski, was arrested in relation to the incident and remains in custody. A 42-year-old Kelowna man, who the police did not identify, was also arrested, but has since been released on strict conditions and is expected to make a court appearance at a later date.

RCMP officers were present at a residence in the 600 block of Gerstmar Road in Kelowna in relation to the investigation, but have now left the scene.

The full findings of the investigation will be forwarded to the B.C. Prosecution Service for review and charge assessment. The investigation is ongoing at this time.

“We do not believe there is any risk to the public as a result of this incident,” says Cpl. Jocelyn Noseworthy, with the Kelowna RCMP, in the release. “Due to the nature of this matter, we will not be releasing further information at this time.”
