KELOWNA – Two men are in police custody after a serious assault on Hein Road in Kelowna this week.
On Tuesday, Sept. 26 shortly before 7 p.m. Kelowna RCMP learned that an individual was being treated at Kelowna General Hospital for “injuries consistent with an assault,” according to a media release.
“The victim’s injuries, although extensive, were believed to be non-life threatening in nature,” Const. Jesse O’Donaghey says in the release.
O’Donaghey says investigators arrested two 46-year-old men connected to two separate properties on the same road where a man was killed last month.
The release does not say which two properties were involved but says both are subjects of a “continuing investigation.”
“This appears to be an isolated incident,” O’Donaghey says. “All suspects have been arrested in connection to this incident and the public is not at risk.”
Both Kelowna men face assault related charges, while the second man also could potentially face weapons and drug charges.
The men remain in police custody.
