CBC journalist Mark Kelley connects with news magazine 'The Fifth Estate'

TORONTO - CBC journalist Mark Kelley has found a connection with "The Fifth Estate."

CBC says the former host of "Connect with Mark Kelley" will join the news magazine this September, joining Linden MacIntyre, Gillian Findlay and Bob McKeown.

The new post comes after CBC scrapped Kelley's CBC News Network series in the wake of federal budget cuts.

CBC says Kelley will now return to his investigative roots, noting the TV personality previously served as co-host of "CBC News: Disclosure."

CBC says Kelley will also continue to contribute to "The National."

A new season of "The Fifth Estate" begins Sept. 14 on CBC-TV.
