In a bit of a surprise move, CBS decided to introduce the mysterious mom of "How I Met Your Mother" before she actually appears on the show. It was revealed earlier this year that acclaimed Broadway performer Cristin Milioti will be seen in the pivotal role at some point during the show's upcoming final season. Now she's starting to talk about how she'll help bring the whole story to a close... and how she had never seen the show before auditioning for the part. http://bit.ly/17rAfyB

James Franco is the latest celebrity to get roasted and some previews have popped up online in advance of the show's airing on Monday on the Comedy Network. Spoilers suggest Franco's sexuality is a frequent topic and Nick Kroll pokes fun at his stoner perma-squint (http://bit.ly/1468ISu). As is always the case, the roasters also get roasted. Here (http://bit.ly/15F2Td1), Sarah Silverman goes after Jonah Hill.

Has it been 20 years already? Apparently there are people marking the 20th anniversary of the debut of "Mighty Morphin Power Rangers." Time magazine (http://ti.me/15qh4OZ) points out a revamp of the series in 2011 sparked a renewed appreciation for the Japanese import. Now costume sales are up and one analyst calls it "one of the more relevant licenses out there." What other shows made their debut two decades ago? "Beavis and Butt-Head," "Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman," "Frasier," "Late Night with Conan O'Brien," "NYPD Blue," "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine" and "The X-Files" are a few of the notables.
