KAMLOOPS - In spite of the rain this morning, the weather office says umbrellas and raincoats shouldn't be necessary in Kamloops for Halloween this evening.

“It’s looking good. The rain we are seeing this morning is expected to taper off early this afternoon," Environment Canada meteorologist Matt MacDonald says.

MacDonald says the front moving through the region this morning, Oct. 31, is pushing east at a good pace and there is a good clearing trend in behind it.

Kamloops should see a few breaks in the clouds prior to trick or treat time, and it will be dry with temperatures around 10 Celsius this evening.
