The new iPad ad from Apple seems pretty straight forward.
A giant hydraulic press crushes a piano, record players, paint, books, cameras and arcade games and from the destruction comes the new iPad Pro.
Critics accused Apple of being tone deaf.
University of Pennsylvania marketing professor Americus Reed II told The Associated Press he had a really disturbing reaction to the ad. “I understood conceptually what they were trying to do, but... I think the way it came across is, here is technology crushing the life of that nostalgic sort of joy (from former times).”
