Miles Morales is getting a sequel as Spider-Man.
Spider-Man: Across the Spiderverse will be the next instalment in the superhero franchise. It’s an animated film with comic-book style graphics.
In the preview, Miles Morales initially appears to be dealing with personal issues and local crime, and then reality goes askew when he decides to traverse the multiverse with Gwen Stacey.
Just like in the first film, the racially-diverse Spider-Man encounters numerous other variations of the superhero character, however they don’t all appear to be protagonists this time around.
In 2018, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse was the first movie to feature a black Spiderman. Nicolas Cage co-stars, and it’s his highest-rated movie on Rotten Tomatoes with a score of 97%. Unfortunately Nicolas Cage does not appear to have a role in Across the Spiderverse.
The movie is scheduled to be released June 2, 2023. A third instalment, Beyond the Spiderverse, is slated for 2024.
