Environment Canada continued its winter storm warning for the Trans-Canada Highway, from Eagle Pass to Rogers Pass.

A Pacific frontal system will continue to track across southern B.C. Tuesday morning bringing with it heavy snowfall to the Trans-Canada Highway from Eagle Pass to Rogers Pass.

"Snow is beginning to taper off, however, brief bursts of snow can be expected before the system finally moves away later this morning," Environment Canada reported. "Poor weather conditions may contribute to transportation delays. Expect road closures as avalanches are possible."

The national weather agency asks drivers to consider postponing non-essential travel until conditions improve.

Road conditions are available at www.drivebc.ca.
