The Trans-Canada Highway east of Golden is closed in both directions due to rocks on the road.

The highway closed at around 8 p.m. yesterday, Dec. 10, and remains closed this morning. It is expected to open within the hour.

"There are rocks on the road between Golden Donald Upper Road and West Boundary of Yoho National Park for 18.8 kilometres," Drive B.C. reports. This is around four kilometres east of Golden to West Boundary of Yoho National Park.

An assessment in progress and a detour not available.
