KAMLOOPS - Two men from Abbotsford could be facing charges after Kamloops RCMP conducted a traffic stop which led to drugs and weapons being seized from their car.
Police say yesterday, Dec. 16, around 9 p.m. a Kamloops RCMP officer conducted a traffic stop after a vehicle failed to stop at a stop sign.
After speaking with the two occupants of the vehicle, the officer noticed illegal drugs in plain view, according to an RCMP media release.
The two men were arrested and a search of the vehicle revealed more controlled drugs, $2,000 in cash, two swords and a conducted energy weapon, also known as a Taser.
Police do not identify the two men who are 19 and 20 years of age but say they are previously known to police.
Charges against the two men are pending while the B.C. Prosecution Service determines charges, police say.
Both men were released with a future court date.
