PENTICTON - A semi rollover on Highway 97 in Penticton early this morning backed up traffic as crews worked to clean up the crash scene.
Penticton fire chief Dave Spalding says the driver of the semi suffered minor injuries in the crash, which flattened the cab of the truck after it struck a concrete barrier at a sharp corner of Highway 97 near Doc’s Golf Centre at the city’s north end.
The truck was southbound at the time of the collision, which occurred around 4:50 a.m., July 27.
Clean-up of the spilled contents of the tractor trailer continued late into the morning. The highway was open to traffic, although it was slow moving slowly around the crash site.
