PENTICTON - An eyewear and tire store were targeted by thieves in two commercial break and enters in Penticton last week.

Cpl. Don Wrigglesworth says the front glass window of Apex Eye Care at 462 Main St. was smashed sometime overnight on Oct. 30. A rock was thrown through the window and an entire plexiglass case was taken from the store containing Kaenon and other brands of glasses. Nothing else was noted missing or disturbed.

On the morning of Oct. 31, two men were observed loading rims into green Chev Suburban behind Larsens Excel Tire Centre on Okanagan Avenue. The vehicle was located by police on Green Mountain Road, where police saw two men exiting the vehicle.

They were both arrested for possession of stolen property and subsequently released with a promise to appear in court.
