KAMLOOPS - A 24-year-old man is in custody after police received a tip about a stolen truck.
Kamloops RCMP arrested the man this morning, April 19, after receiving a tip from a resident about three suspicious people around the resident’s home on the North Shore. The resident gave police the license plate number of the truck the people were using, and it matched a truck stolen from the North Shore yesterday.
Police used a helicopter to track the vehicle and give its location to officers on the ground. The officers arrested one of the vehicle’s occupants, the 24-year-old man, who was previously known to police.
The man is facing charges of possession of stolen property and being held for a court appearance tomorrow.
