KELOWNA - The Tim Hortons at the Kelowna airport is getting a facelift.
Renovations are underway to upgrade the popular coffee shop at Kelowna International Airport, according to a City of Kelowna media release.
The City says the Timmies is getting new lighting, flooring and open-concept seating, while the counter and where people line-up is getting a re-design.
“The new open concept design will mean a more efficient queuing area, and overall an enhanced dining experience for customers,” Skyway Group Kelowna owner Ed Wong says in the release.
During the construction, Tim Hortons in the terminal will provide a more limited menu. White Spot, also in the terminal, will expand its hours of operation during the renovation.
“Working in partnership with Skyway Group, these upgrades are just one way we are working to ensure we are meeting the needs of travellers now and well into the future,” airport operations senior manager Phillip Elchitz said in the release.
Construction is expected to be wrapped by mid-October.
