WEST KELOWNA - The morning rush hour was slow for commuters heading into Kelowna thanks to a three-car collision.
RCMP says the crash, which occurred around 8:18 a.m., April 21, snarled traffic on Highway 97 near the Westside Road overpass.
The driver of a Toyota Echo rear-ended a Toyota Rav 4 and a Mini Cooper stopped in traffic on the highway, causing a chain reaction, according to an RCMP media release.
All three drivers were treated by ambulance paramedics at the scene, police say.
The driver of the Toyota Echo, a 31-year-old West Kelowna woman, was charged with following too close and handed a $109 fine.
