Three arrested in connection with vehicles stolen in Kamloops

Kamloops RCMP have arrested three individuals after recovering three stolen vehicles in a property in Barriere.

On Aug. 10, the Kamloops RCMP Crime Reduction Unit arrested two men and one woman in connection with multiple offences including a recent break and enter at Heffley Creek store, the theft of multiple motor vehicles and possession of stolen property, according to an RCMP media release issued today, Aug. 16.

Justice Nicara Lee McKay-Saul, 26, of Hope has been charged with theft of a motor vehicle, two counts of possession of stolen property, and breaking and entering Heffley Creek store. She was released and a warrant has since been issued for her arrest.

Raymond Francis Thiffault, 32, of BC has been charged with the same offences. Thiffault was arrested on warrants out of Chilliwack and remains in custody until his next court appearance, scheduled for Aug. 17.

George Walter Saunders, 64, of Hope has also been charged with two counts of possession of stolen property, breaking and entering, and breach of a court order. He will also remain in custody until his next court appearance scheduled for Aug. 22.

“With the assistance of frontline officers in Barriere and Kamloops, as well as support units, the CRU was able to take three suspects into custody and obtain a search warrant for a residence, which led to the recovery of stolen property. The progression of this investigation is in support of the CRU’s ongoing mandate and continued efforts to enforce and suppress crime in our local communities.” Kamloops RCMP Supt. Jeff Pelley said in the release.
