Three arrested after gunshots heard in Kamloops

Kamloops RCMP took three people into custody after gunshots were heard near Superstore.

Officers converged on the area after someone reported hearing gunshots and seeing firearms in Sahali around 7:40 a.m., Sept. 16, according to a Kamloops RCMP news release.

Police were first led to the 700-block of McGill Road, but updates helped officers find suspects at "various locations," police said.

“It is still extremely early, but at this moment, no one has been located with injuries related to this report,” Cpl. Crystal Evelyn said.

RCMP is asking the public to avoid the area as multiple officers, including the police dog unit, continue to investigate on Friday morning.

Anyone who has video, witnessed, or has information related to the investigations can contact Kamloops RCMP at 250-828-3000.
