Kamala Harris is beating Donald Trump…like a drum. The entire Republican Make-America-Great-Again cult not only misjudged Harris…they seriously misjudged Americans. Harris made Trump look like the fool he is during their debate…and the drubbing continues.

Harris and her vice president running mate, Tim Walz, found a way for truth to break through to the American public. Democrats have more public support than Republicans on almost every issue and policy today…abortion, gun control, affordable healthcare, voting rights…and that won’t change.

What has changed is what Americans are hearing…and how they feel about the people who might lead them. Republicans have told Americans that their country is going to hell in a hand basket for nearly a generation. Americans are weary…tired of the lies…tired of being told America is a half-empty glass.

Consider the actions of most elected Republicans. For example, Todd Rokita, Indiana’s attorney general, pursued charges against the doctor and the hospital performing a medical abortion on a 10-year-old rape victim from Ohio for a year…before finally giving in to public pressure.

North Carolina’s Lieutenant Governor, Mark Robinson - the Republican choice for Governor - offers this nonsense: “I absolutely want to go back to the America where women couldn’t vote,” and “this foolishness about Hitler disarming MILLIONS of Jews and then marching them off to concentration camps is a bunch of hogwash.”

In true Republican fashion, however, these losers choose to double down…dig an even deeper hole. They don’t care about solving problems. They simply want to tell the majority how to live. They want to set the agenda for everything. They want a nation whiter than Norway. They want no gay people…much less the other LGBTQ folks. They want no immigrants. And to scare folks into voting for them, they lie…and lie…and lie…about Americans and America.

We are watching the beginning of the end. Americans - people worldwide - are about to see changes that just a month ago seemed unfathomable. Why? Kamala Harris happened. Then, Tim Walz - a mostly unknown governor of Minnesota - was a welcome catalyst…further energizing Americans who care about their country.

Kamala Harris and Tim Walz are an unbeatable tag-team in a wrestling match for America’s conscience...its soul. Trump chose JD Vance as his running mate…pretty much like someone asking for Kraft Dinner at Sunday brunch. Most of us couldn’t imagine a real life “Dumb and Dumber”…but here we are…Trump and Vance.

People everywhere want to have hope…hope for a better today and a better tomorrow for their children and grandchildren. Trump, Vance and MAGA Republicans offer not hope…but hate, revenge and the promise of freedom for one group at the expense of all others. My dad used to call folks like that shit stirrers…people who take pleasure in causing trouble…division.

These folks aren’t decent…even though they hide behind the Bible…and they’re not patriots… despite wrapping themselves in the flag. A handful of Christian Nationalist-led MAGA cult members have strong-armed school districts nationwide into banning books. These books are literature…great literature.

They insist on putting the Ten Commandments in every classroom…yet a casual observer can clearly see they don’t observe those teachings. Separation of church and state is a fundamental building block of freedom and democracy…our forefathers knew that…and so do reasonable people today.

Like I said, Americans are weary…tired of more than a decade of Republican nonsense. The shit stirrers are now being seen for what they are. The MAGA crowd has no shame…they’ve lied so much…advanced so many conspiracy theories…that their narrative has passed for truth and fact…and they are neither.

Most elections are won based on where politicians stand on issues… policies. And while issues and policies matter in this election, voters have had enough of the lies, the divisiveness and the negativity. One party - Republicans - own the undermining of what took America 248 years to build.

The contradictions, the hypocrisies, the anger, the hatred, the cruelty…now more than ever it all works against Republicans. They pushed boulders down hill, and now want to distance themselves from the destruction. Good luck selling that.

Trump will get votes…sure. But he can’t garner enough votes to win. So, his plan is to cry foul…lie, cheat and try to steal the election…again. It will not work this time either. Americans who care about America have the Republican playbook…everyone knows what they’re going to call next.

The Republican Party is on life support…and on November 5th….Americans are pulling the plug. When you grow your electorate by appealing to bigots, haters, religious fanatics that don’t believe in religious freedom, fascists and Neo-Nazis…crazy folks who invent conspiracies…what you see is what you get.

It’s time to give birth to a new Republican Party…one that looks more like the Republican Party of old…one with a sense of decency.  Republicans tend to be pro-life…but should consider aborting their party…for the good of the nation. 

Anyone who watched the two political conventions this Summer knows the truth…even if they hate admitting it. One group reflects a deep, almost pathological anger…against their fellow Americans. The other party - Democrats, Independents and former-Republicans - reflect hope, joy and an attitude of “we can solve any problem”.

I don’t know…the choice seems pretty obvious.
