PENTICTON - Penticton will get another opportunity to rock to one of Canada’s best known bands this summer.
The Penticton Peach Festival welcomes 54-40 as the band returns to Peach City again in 2015.
Peachfest Entertainment Director Bill Kolter said people have been asking for a return engagement by the group since their appearance in 2012, when one of the largest crowds in Peach Festival history showed up to watch the band.
Known for such hits as Baby Ran, Ocean Pearl, Casual Viewin’, Since When, Lies to Me, Love You and She La, 54-40 has been an integral part of the Canadian music scene for more than 30 years.
The band’s song “I Go Blind” was recorded by Hootie and the Blowfish in the mid 1990s and was also featured on the first soundtrack of the TV show Friends.
The band is scheduled to play Peach Festival on Thursday, August 6. The 68th annual Peach Festival takes place August 5-9.
