Thieves steal jewelry during real estate open house in Lake Country

LAKE COUNTRY – Thousands of dollars’ worth of jewelry was stolen during an open house in Lake Country last month.

When homeowners returned after the listed home was opened to prospective buyers, they noticed that most of their jewelry had been taken.

A release from RCMP says taken from the Ridge Boulevard home May 1 was a gold Ruby Om and Lotus necklace, a black onyx mala, turquoise mala beads, a Return to Tiffany choker, an 18 k gold necklace, a Karen Chopik hammer cross necklace, an 18 k gold necklace from Italy, six orange sapphires in a silver pendant, a gold pendant cross floating like a compass in glass surrounded in diamonds and a Birks pebble silver necklace.
