The Wilson's Landing fire station north of Kelowna was broken into again last night and RCMP are asking for tips to help solve the case.
An alarm at the fire hall on Westside Road went off around 7 p.m. yesterday, Sept. 7, according to a West Kelowna RCMP press release.
The fire chief responded to the alarm and then realized that “bandits” had broken in, RCMP said. The alarm was triggered after entry was gained and several items were stolen.

The fire department uses the gear to provide medical first response and fire suppression in the Wilson’s Landing area.
The same fire station was broken into in February 2021.
“The crime scene was photographed and an exhibit was seized for fingerprint examination by the Forensic Identification Section,” RCMP Cpl. Judith Bertrand said in the release.
West Kelowna RCMP are asking anyone with information to call 250-768-2880, or remain anonymous by calling Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
