KAMLOOPS - A Kamloops bakery break-in had a not-so-sweet ending for the intruder.
Cobbs bakery on Columbia Street West was broken into at 4 a.m. today, July 31, but the suspect was craving a different kind of dough.
Police were alerted to the bakery break-in after a report of a window being smashed, according to a Kamloops RCMP media release.
When officers arrived, the front door to the store was smashed, and a donation box was stolen from the counter front.
RCMP arrested a 56-year-old man a few blocks away.
Police say all investigative material will be handed over to the B.C. Prosecution Service to determine if charges will be laid.
