KELOWNA - A Kelowna candy store is dealing with the bitter aftertaste of a brazen robbery Tuesday evening.

An unknown man walked into the So Sweet Candy store on the 2300 block of Highway 97 North in Kelowna at around 5:40 p.m., Tuesday, April 9, and walked out of the store with the cash register's drawer of money, according to an RCMP media release.

Police arrived at the scene and thanks to help from witnesses, they were able to find the abandoned drawer nearby, although they did not catch the suspect.

The thief is described as Caucasian with a skinny build and a bald head. He was wearing a black hoodie under a dark coloured jacket, a dark pair of sunglasses and a pair of blue jeans.

Anyone with information on this sour theft can contact the Kelowna RCMP at 250-762-3300, or call Crime Stoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-8477.
