KAMLOOPS - Police are asking for help to find a thief who made off with approximately $4,000 in lottery tickets and cigarettes from a Kamloops store early this morning.
RCMP say at about 2:30 a.m., July 11, officers responded to an alarm at The Twin Rivers Market located on 1420 Hugh Allan Dr.
The suspect used a rock to break open the glass in the front door and by the time police arrived had already fled the area, according to a RCMP media release.
A man was captured on security footage breaking the door and then the cabinets behind the counter to access the cigarettes and lotto tickets.
The suspect got away in a dark coloured vehicle. He was was wearing a black balaclava, a thick yellow hooded work jacket, white gloves and was carrying a duffel bag.
