KELOWNA - The Summer Indigenous Art Intensive is coming to UBC Okanagan in July, hosted by the Faculty of Creative and Critical Studies and the Canada Council for the Arts.

The program is comprised of undergraduate and graduate courses, a series of world-renowned speakers, art exhibitions and performances.

Keynote presentations and artist panels will take place in the University Theatre (ADM026) Wednesdays throughout July from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. They are free and open for anyone to attend.

The speaker, event and panel schedules are available online here.

Alongside the intensive residency, the faculty is offering additional courses in Visual Art, Creative Writing, Art History and Visual Culture. These new courses will run in conjunction with the Indigenous Summer Intensive, allowing students to connect with the resident artists, writers and keynote speakers regardless of their degree.
