The Offspring and Simple Plan are coming to Penticton in March as part of the Let the Bad Times Roll Tour.

Let the Bad Times Roll is also the title of The Offsprings’s tenth studio album which was released in April.

Their previous recordings include “Smash” and “Americana,” which were staples of 1990s punk rock and helped the band sell a total of over 40 million albums.

The latest record created topical material by addressing cultural moments.

“This album is probably the most cathartic thing we’ve done,” frontman Dexter Holland said in a press release. “The messages might be dark, but at the end what’s left is that communication is important, working through feelings is important and most of all, hope is important.”

Canadians may remember Simple Plan’s single “I’m Just a Kid” from the radio when it was released in 2002. They also performed at the 2010 Winter Olympics and have won two JUNO Awards

The tour makes a stop in Penticton on March 2 at the South Okanagan Events Centre.

Tickets for the tour go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 5 online here.
