Temperatures on the rise this week in Kamloops

The flurries and showers beginning the week in Kamloops should give way to some sunshine with temperatures reaching into the positive double digits by Friday.

Environment Canada says to expect a 30 per cent chance of flurries this morning, Feb. 24, in Kamloops before the sun makes an appearance around noon. West winds at 20 km/h are expected to become light this morning, with a high of 2 Celsius expected and a low of -5 C overnight along with a few clouds and a wind chill of -9 C.

Tuesday should see a mix of sun and cloud along with a 30 per cent chance of showers and an east wind at 20 km/h in the afternoon. A daytime high of 6 C should be followed by cloudy periods and a low of -3 C overnight.

The sun returns Wednesday with a high of 7 C. Cloudy periods are expected overnight with a low of -3 C.

Thursday should see more sunshine and a high of 9 C, along with an overnight low of -3 C.

More sunshine is forecast for Friday with a high of 10 C and a low of 1 C.

The weekend is shaping up to be cloudy but warm both Saturday and Sunday with highs of 11 C and 10 C respectively.

Kamloops’s normal high and low for this time of year is 6 C and -3 C.
