Take part in a Pow Wow or the Peach City Triathlon this weekend

The 35th annual Penticton Peach Classic happens Sunday, July 16, staging out of Gyro Park.

PENTICTON - There are lots of things to do in Penticton this weekend.

The Four Seasons Cultural Society Pow Wow takes place at the Outma Sqilx’W Cultural School at 151 Outma Sqilx’W Place today, July 14 at 7 p.m., Saturday, July 15 at 12 p.m. and Sunday, July 16 at 12 p.m.

A feast and celebration, fashion show, stick games, princess pageant and drum competition are some of the events planned over the weekend. Cost is $5, children under five years old are free. For more information, contact the Four Seasons Cultural Society.

The Rock the Sun Concert Series features Timothy Hurley and The Vultures today, July 14 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Gyro Park in a free concert.

Ben Sures performs at The Dream Cafe today, July 14 at 8 p.m. Terence Jack entertains at The Dream Saturday, July 15, starting at 8 p.m.

Many Hats Theatre Co. presents “The Norwegians”, Friday, July 14 at 8 p.m., Saturday, July 15 at 8 p.m. and Sunday, July 16 at 2 p.m. Catch the performance at the Cannery Stage, 1475 Fairview Road in Penticton. For more information, see the Many Hats Theatre Co. website.

Community and Farmers' Markets take place on Saturday, July 15 on Main Street in downtown Penticton. Both markets get underway at 8:30 a.m. The Farmers' Market concludes at 1 p.m. while the Community Market closes at 2 p.m.

Summerland Rotary Market happens on Sunday, July 16, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Main Street in Summerland. Numerous vendors manned by farmers, crafters, artists and food vendors are on hand.

Buy the Sea & Summerland Yacht Club Salmon Barbecue takes place Saturday, July 15, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event is a fundraiser for the Penticton Regionial Hospital patient care tower. Cost is by donation. For more information, call 250-492-3474.

The Summer Lego Club at the Penticton Public Library takes place Saturday, July 15 from 2 to 3 p.m. The club is open to ages five plus, all children under eight must be accompanies by an adult. Cost is free. For more information, call 250-770-7786.

Three Lakes Peach Classic Triathlon Olympic and Sprint distance triathlon takes place Sunday, July 16 from 7 a.m. until noon, staging out of Rotary Park. Cost is $105 to $260. Racers can register online.

Penticton Leir House Sunday Arts Markets happens on Sunday, July 16, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The summer event has entertainment, art, homemade and homegrown food, crafts and lots more under the shady trees of the Leir House grounds.

Yanti Rowland Music performs at Cannery Brewing on Sunday, July 16, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Cost is free.
