KELOWNA - A suspect has been identified in the death of an Ontario man outside a Kelowna restaurant in February.
RCMP have confirmed an altercation took place outside of the Cactus Club and Const. Jesse O’Donaghey says a 25-year-old man has now been identified by police as the suspect involved in the death of Zachary Gaudette, 30.
Gaudette and the suspect were involved in an altercation around 9 p.m., Feb. 17, which resulted in the Ontario man being rushed to hospital in serious condition. On Feb. 19 Gaudette succumbed to his injuries.
O’Donaghey says RCMP is waiting on the results of an autopsy and continue to work with the family and the B.C. Coroners Service.
Charges have not yet been laid and are expected after all evidence has been presented, O’Donaghey notes.
