Kamloops RCMP arrested a man for possession of stolen property over the weekend after finding he was driving a stolen vehicle while prohibited.

On Jan. 16, officers came across a vehicle around Greenstone Drive that had been reported stolen, according to an RCMP media release. They then followed the vehicle until the three occupants left the vehicle on foot and officers felt it safe to make the arrest.

RCMP say Darcy Dean Anderson, 32, is charged with possession of stolen property under $5,000 and driving while prohibited. He is scheduled for court later this month.

Two women were also taken into custody at the time, one of whom was in possession of a Taser, BB gun and a knife, which were seized by police.
