The body of a 26-year-old Surrey man has been recovered from Okanagan Lake in downtown Kelowna after he was reported missing this weekend.
Central Okanagan Search and Rescue located the body today, Aug. 15, where the man was last seen, using an underwater drop camera.
The RCMP first reported the man was missing and the incident was a possible drowning Saturday night, Aug. 14. A heavy police presence was seen at Kelowna's downtown marina.

“We are all saddened by this tragic outcome and we have offered all supports available to the man’s family,” Const. Mike Della-Paolera, media relations officer with the Kelowna RCMP, said in a press release from the detachment.
The B.C. Coroners Service has conducted an investigation and the RCMP has ruled the incident was not criminal in nature.
