OKANAGAN - Hockey sticks are already out across the Okanagan showing support for the tragedy in Humboldt, but residents up and down the valley are posting photos of themselves wearing jerseys to honour those killed and injured last week.

Last Friday, April 6, the Humboldt Broncos were headed for a playoff game on their team bus when it collided with a semi-truck near Tisdale, Sask.

Fourteen members of the team, including the head coach, bus driver and team captain, were killed with two more dying in hospital since.

The tragedy has shaken the hockey-loving country, with many Okanagan residents wearing sports jerseys today, April 12, to show their support for the families of the victims.
