Sunny days ahead in the Okanagan

Okanagan skies will see some clouds but the temperatures will be high.

Autumn conditions are settling into the Okanagan this week with  Environment Canada forecasting plenty of sun for the days ahead.

Today, Oct. 4, will start with a skiff of fog that's expected to burn off by mid-morning.

The rest of the day is expected to be sunny, and depending on where you are in the Okanagan temperatures are expected to be somewhere around 22 Celsius.

Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday are expected to be fully sunny, with slightly lower temperatures. Expect to see the mercury rise to about 21 C throughout the Okanagan.

Friday night, however, will be when the weather takes a real turn for the worse.

There's a 30 to 60 per cent chance for rain and the temperature is expected to fall to around 16 C for Saturday.

The cooler weather at the end of the week is par for the season, according to Environment Canada records.

Normal temperatures at this time of year in the Okanagan are highs of 15 C and lows of 4 C.
