Sunny and warm in Kamloops this weekend

Kamloops residents will find lots of opportunities this weekend to get outside for a stroll with sunshine and warm temperatures forecast.

PENTICTON - Kamloops residents can look forward to some fine spring weather this weekend as a high pressure ridge makes its way into the region.

Environment Canada meteorologist Bobby Sekhon says sunny skies and slightly above average temperatures are forecast for the weekend with the possibility of “a bit of cloud” late Saturday and into Sunday.

“There does not appear to be any rain in the forecast for the weekend. It looks fairly dry right into next week,” Sekhon says.

Today, May 3, Kamloops should see mainly sunny skies with a high of 21 Celsius and an overnight low of 10 C.

Tomorrow the forecast calls for a sunny morning with clouds increasing in the afternoon and a high of 21 C.

The skies are expected to clear on Sunday with a pleasant high of 19 C.

The sunshine should continue into the start of the work week on Monday and Tuesday, with highs of 22 and lows of 8 C.

Kamloops normally experiences a high of 20 C and a low of 6 C this time of year.
