Sunny and hot in Kamloops today, but another wet weekend ahead

It promises to be sunny and hot in Kamloops today, June 25, but clouds are expected to begin rolling in tomorrow, just in time for a cool, showery weekend.

It looks like Kamloops residents can look forward to more sunshine in the next few days – just not over the weekend.

The last six days of June should see mostly seasonal temperatures with the sun peaking out for a majority of those days.

Unfortunately, a system approaching tomorrow, June 26, is expected to bring clouds and showers to finish off the last weekend in June before the sun returns Monday.

July 1 looks like a pleasant day for Canada Day celebrations, with a mix of sun and cloud and a high of 26 Celsius.

Today in Kamloops, Environment Canada says it should be mainly sunny with southwest winds at 20 km/h late this afternoon.

Today’s high should reach 32 C with a low tonight of 16 C.

Increasing clouds will bring a 40 per cent chance of showers Friday afternoon, with west winds at 20 km/h.

Tomorrow’s high should reach 27 C with a low 14 C.

Clouds and showers are in the forecast for Saturday with a high of 20 C.

Sunday there is a 40 per cent chance of showers with a high of 23 C.

Skies should clear Sunday night with a low to 13 C.

Expect sunny skies Monday and a mix of sun and cloud Tuesday with highs both days of 27 C, and lows of 15 C and 16 C respectively.

July gets underway with some pleasant Canada Day weather on Wednesday, with the forecast calling for sun and cloud and a high of 26 C.

Normal temperatures at this time of year in Kamloops are highs of 26 C and 13 C.
