KAMLOOPS - The most expensive properties in the Thompson region are dominated by one town — Sun Peaks.

The ski resort village has 33 residential properties valued in the top 100 of the region. That includes the top five spots and eight of the top ten.

The top valued property in the region was once again at 4141 Douglas Crt., which rose to more than $3.64 million. That’s almost $1 million more than the second most expensive property, which is walking distance away.

In Kamloops, the most expensive residential lot is at 1490 Westerdale Dr. in Aberdeen at $1.8 million. The city’s high priced homes are fairly spread out across the community, with 38 properties making the region’s top 100. The neighbourhoods of Sahali, downtown, Valleyview and Juniper Ridge all made the city’s top 10.

Outside of the Kamloops and Sun Peaks bubble, Blue River had a property crack the top 10 in the region. Most of the other high priced properties were in rural areas around lakes, with 15 located around Nicola Lake near Merritt.
