Summer-like weather continues into the first week of September in Kamloops

There's quite a bit of sun in store for Kamloops this week, along with some summery temperatures in the high 20s to low 30s Celsius.

KAMLOOPS - Warm weather is expected to continue in Kamloops at least until the weekend when temperatures are expected to drop back to more seasonal levels.

Environment Canada says to expect sunny skies to give way to clouds this afternoon with a 60 per cent chance of showers later today, Sept. 3. The mercury should reach a high of 31 Celsius today with the possibility of a thunderstorm this evening as the temperature drops to 14 C overnight.

Tomorrow should see clearing skies in the morning followed by a high of 29 C and a low of 14 C overnight.

Thursday is expected to reach a high of 33 C under sunny skies.

Friday should see a mix of sun and cloud along with a high of 32 C. The clouds will intensify overnight, becoming cloudy on Saturday with a high of 27 C and a low of 13 C expected.

Sunday should see a mix of sun and clouds with a high of 25 C and a low of 13 C.

A mix of sun and clouds is also in the forecast for Monday, with a high of 23 C.

Kamloops’s normal high and low temperatures at this time of year are 24 C and 10 C.
