Stroke expert speaks at KGH

The public is invited to join medical staff as renowned stroke expert Dr. Andrew Demchuk presents during Grand Rounds on Wednesday, May 14, 8 – 9 a.m. in the Clinical Academic Campus Auditorium, Kelowna General Hospital. Dr. Demchuk will be introduced by Dr. John Falconer, who will provide an update about new developments in stroke care at KGH.

Dr. Demchuk is a stroke neurologist and Director of the Calgary Stroke Program with Alberta Health Services. He is an Associate Professor in the Department of Clinical Neurosciences for the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Calgary.

Grand Rounds typically provide education geared towards medical staff. This is an opportunity for the public to learn about the cause and symptoms of stroke, advances in stroke research and the unit at KGH.
