KAMLOOPS – The search is on to identify a couple wanted in association with using stolen identification earlier this month.
A male and female entered the Superstore on Columbia Street the evening of June 3 and attempted to purchase a new phone at the cell phone kiosk in the store. Before the transaction could be completed, the employee realized the identification was stolen.
The employee alerted police and attempted to keep the couple from leaving the store. However the pair became suspicious and left without the identification. By the time the police arrived the pair were gone.
The identification has since been returned to its owner.
Both the male and female suspects are Caucasian and presumed in their early 20s. The male was wearing a dark coloured hoodie and a baseball cap on backwards. The female was wearing a black and white checkered sweater.
Anyone recognizing the pair are asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
