Bertuzzi nets hat trick, Chicago Blackhawks top Vancouver Canucks 5-2

VANCOUVER — Tyler Bertuzzi scored his fourth career hat trick and the Chicago Blackhawks downed the Vancouver Canucks 5-2 on Wednesday.

Connor Bedard had an empty-net goal and an assist for the Blackhawks (6-5-3), while Ilya Mikheyev also scored and Ryan Donato contributed a pair of assists.

Spencer Knight stopped 43 of the 45 shots he faced in Chicago's net.

Aatu Raty and Evander Kane got pucks past the former Canucks netminder late in the third period.

Kevin Lankinen made 23 saves for the Canucks (7-8-0), who outshot the Blackhawks 45-28 across the game.

The result snapped a three-game losing skid for Chicago, while the Canucks have alternated one win, one loss for their last six games.
