KAMLOOPS - Halloween may still be a few weeks away, but plenty of spooky events in Kamloops will keep you busy until then.

Tourism Kamloops has broken down a number of the events, called "Spookloops".

The city's new Escape from Padova tunnel escape room at Tranquille Farm Fresh is taking place every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday until the beginning of November. The one-hour experience takes place in the dark, underground tunnels that connect several buildings. Tickets are $35 per person and you must be at least 16 years old to take part.

Also at the farm those evenings is Tunnel Theatre, featuring "Padova: The Untold Story". It's a one-hour production and tickets are $25 per person.

A haunted corn maze is now up and running at Sunset Valley Farm until Halloween. Get lost in more than eight acres of twists, turns and dead ends. Hours for the maze are Monday to Friday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The Halloween Harvest will take place at Sunset Valley Farm on Oct. 13. Enjoy the corn maze, hay rides and pumpking patch. The event has admission by donation with proceeds going toward the Canucks Autism Network programs in the Kamloops area.

If you've ever wondered how makeup artists create that realistic zombie look, you'll have the opportunity to see it up close and personal on Oct. 15 at the Interior Academy located at 113 Victoria Street. You can follow the instructor as she works on a live model, and the event is free. You can RSVP to the event here.

Lyons Landscaping is hosting its fourth annual Halloween firework event on Oct. 20 this year. The theme is "Pumpkin Head" so guests are encouraged to wear their best costume rendition. Pumpkin head painting, an equipment play area, photo booths, a bouncy castle, a dance floor, food and snacks, and an outside movie night will be taking place. All proceeds go to the Food Bank and United way. Doors open at 6 p.m. with fireworks beginning at 8 p.m.

The annual Pumpkins of Light Festival takes place on Oct. 25, hosted by the Open Door Group's Gardengate Horticulture Program. You can wander down a spooky path lit up by hundreds of Jack O'Lanterns carved by locals. Free admission, and family-friendly. The event is hosted at 915 Southill Street.

Take the trick-or-treat train on Oct. 27 or Oct. 28 at the Kamloops Heritage Railway. The family-friendly tour gives passengers the opportunity to meet characters, and stop at the pumpkin patch. Tickets range from $5 to $29 per person and the train runs at 3 p.m.

The annual Kamloops Zombie Walk will take place on Oct. 27 on Victoria Street. You can walk the streets like a zombie in the walk that's been becoming more popular over the years. Learn more about the event here.

As always you can take your little ones to Aberdeen Mall on Oct. 31 for the trick-or-treat extravaganza. Collect candy indoors at all of the retailers from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Halloween.
