KELOWNA - A crash on Gordon Drive last night sent two Kelowna men to hospital and damaged a nearby fence.
Const. Steve Holmes with Kelowna RCMP says a driver in a Nissan SUV was attempting to make a left turn from Gordon Drive onto Bothe Road when he was struck by a man driving a Kia sedan around 9:30 p.m., Wednesday, July 15.
The 52-year-old driver of the SUV suffered serious, non-life threatening injuries while the 45-year-old driver of the car suffered minor injuries.
Speed is believed a factors and Holmes says charges are likely.
He reminds drivers to give themselves enough time to make turns because it can be hard to accurately judge the speed of oncoming traffic.
Holmes notes the fence of a nearby residence was also damaged in the crash.
