There is potential for flurries on interior mountain passes late this afternoon through to Saturday evening, May 7, according to a weather alert from Environment Canada.
The white stuff could fall at high elevations on the Coquihalla Highway between Hope and Merritt, the Coquihalla Highway between Merritt and Kamloops, and the Okanagan Connector between Merritt and Kelowna.
Other routes on alert are Hope Princeton Highway, and Highway 3 from Paulson Summit to the Kootenay Pass.
Snow levels will remain at or below mountain pass levels in southern B.C. through the weekend, said Environment Canada.
A disturbance approaching the south coast will cross into the southern interior tonight and exit the region late Saturday.
Snowfall accumulations are expected but will vary depending on location.

Environment Canada asks drivers to be prepared for changing travel conditions at higher elevations, as weather in the mountains can change suddenly and result in hazardous driving conditions.
