An Okanagan town is among the Top 20 friendliest municipalities in Canada, according to Expedia.ca traveller reviews.

Osoyoos ranks 12th out of the 20 "friendliest cities and towns", while Radium Hot Springs placed number one.

Other B.C. locations on the list include Fernie, Whistler, and Nanaimo.

"Did a local provide an outstanding dinner recommendation? Were you greeted with smiles and hellos (or at least smiling eyes over a mask)? Was there just overall feel-good energy? These might be some of the random acts of friendliness that earned these cities and towns (their rank)," Expedia.ca says in a news release.

The company noted Osoyoos is "a peaceful escape surrounded by nature and many local wineries."

Cities and towns which placed on the list had the most mentions of "friendly, friendliest, amiable," and other word associations in traveller reviews from January 2019 to Dec. 2020.
