KELOWNA - We are in for some sunshine early in the week in the Okanagan before the clouds and shower return.
Environment Canada is calling for a mainly cloudy day today, May 8, in the Okanagan with a 30 per cent chance of showers and a high of 18 Celsius. Skies will clear overnight with a low of 4 C.
Tomorrow it will brighten up with a mix of sun and cloud and highs around 23 C. At night it will continue to clear up and drop to 7 C.
Wednesday will be the nice day of the week, with sunshine and a high of 27 C. The night time low is expected to only fall to 10 C on a clear night.
On Thursday things will begin to turn, as a mix of sun and cloud is forecast with a 60 per cent chance of showers. The high will still be high, though, at 25 C. Overnight it will be much of the same, as temperatures drop to 11 C.
Friday the weather will continue to deteriorate with showers, cloudy skies and a high of 16 C. That’ll continue into the evening with a 60 per cent of showers and low of 8 C.
Normals for this time of year in the Okanagan range between a high of 19 C and low of 7 C.
