TORONTO - Toronto FC defender Nick Hagglund is recovering from having his appendix removed.
Coach Greg Vanney said Hagglund was sent to a doctor Wednesday after coming to practice not feeling well. The problem turned out to be his appendix, which was removed that night.
"We're hoping that he has a quick recovery and we'll see him soon," Vanney said after practice Thursday.
The sophomore defender started in Sunday's 4-4 draw with New York City FC.
